— If you have ever watched a commercial for cake stand or cake toppers, you will know what I am talking about.
The cake stand is a popular way to prepare cakes for guests.
It is a stand that sits on a table in a kitchen and holds the ingredients for the cake.
I know, I know, the ingredients must be stored well and not allowed to get lost.
But, as a cake decorator and cake stand owner, I am always surprised when I see cakes that I cannot get my hands on.
When I started out as a decorator, I would put the ingredients in a container and store it at home.
Now, the cake stand has a much more streamlined approach.

If using unsweeten cocoa powder, make sure to add a pinch of salt to help preserve the flavor.
You do not want to use the cocoa powder directly in the mixture, but instead mix in with the rest of the ingredients.
Mix the flour, baking powder and cocoa in a large bowl.
Add the cornstitch sugar, baking soda, and flour mixture and stir until the ingredients are well blended.
Add the milk, eggs and vanilla and mix to form a dough.
Add enough flour to make it stretch.
Gently fold the dough into the dough until it is well-poured.
Bake the cake in a center rack at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and cool completely before serving.
